I just finished reading an article on msnbc.com regarding the new cover of Teen Vogue Magazine. On the cover are two teen super models, one of them being pregnant. The article also references the pregnancy debacle of Jamie Lynn Spears and how it basically caused a major issue since she was a teen star and parents had to explain to their kids why she disappeared. Obviously if your the star of a TV show, especially a child star, you have to live by a certain moral standard. God f-ing forbid someone makes a mistake. Don't forget though people, it's okay for adult stars to have affairs, break laws, take drugs ... do parents explain to them why those ratings skyrocket? Or, are they too busy watching those shows? Why aren't famous adults given the same rules as child stars? NICE EXAMPLE YOU'RE SETTING MEDIA! The eight children of Jon and Kate ... look at their role models ... very very very sad. So when they get their own TV show when they're 16 and one of them screws up, who are you going to blame?
Anyway, before I begin to rant about my opinion on teen pregnancy, which I do NOT condone for the record, I wanted to make a simple point. I just think it's fascinating, at the same time, highly disturbing. Because one of those teen super models is pregnant, she and the magazine are going to be ripped apart in the media. I'm not 100% positive, but it sounded like the only reason they went ahead with the cover was because everything was already scheduled and it was too late to change it. Here's the fascinating part, am I the only one that notices how unbelievably and disturbingly skinny these girls are?
This has always been a fascinating topic for me. I really want to stress that I feel very bad for a lot of supermodels. I feel bad because they really have to live an unhealthy lifestyle in order to make it in the career they love. I don't give a shit who you are, you are not healthy if your knees are thicker than your thighs. It's really disturbing to me that in order to walk the catwalk sporting the new fashion, you have to be able to fit your entire body through a cheerio! Yet, the media, parents, critics, reporters, and many others are focusing on the pregnancy? What about the poor girl's health? Don't you freakin people see that there is a bigger problem? Maybe in this circumstance, there isn't a problem, but there is no doubt in my mind that there IS a problem.
It's just crazy to me that we see pregnancy as being such bad thing, while we basically condone anorexia ... a deadly disease that kills people everyday. I really wish I can say that supermodels are beautiful people. I'm sure they are on the inside which counts for a lot, but in the industry, it doesn't. I'm sorry, but I just can't see physical beauty in supermodels. It's very very very sad that the world of fashion and modeling has to do this to those people who want to be in that world, especially kids. If I was 6 feet tall, weighed 85 pounds, and my boss said I was overweight, I would beat their ass on general f-ing principle. I don't mean to sound insensitive because I know that anorexia is a terrible thing. That's my point here. I can't support an industry that makes billions of dollars off encouraging people to become ill. I know that not all of them do, and not all of them are toothpick skinny, but I'm going on majority here. It's what I see, and what I see on that magazine cover, are two girls that look very very ill.

I have to stop because like I said, I could write a book.
Random Thoughts:
1) I just saw the recent picture of Jaycee Dugard. My heart breaks for that poor girl. I am a writer who has a tendency to create violent death scenes in my books. That sick freak who kidnapped her has inspired future scenes. I hope he rots in hell by his balls!
2) Chuck Liddell was hosed!
3) Jon and Kate ... I thought taking 'stupid' pills were only a means for a joke. I didn't realize they were a real drug until you two jabronis appeared in the media.
4) Five teenagers set a kid on fire in Florida. Your punishment ... live a nice warm place with other rebellious kids, people cook for you, clean for you, you get to be away from the parents you probably hate, you get special education, you get free counseling. This poor kid is spending at least 5 months in a hospital, suffering! Appropriate punishment, they should have 5 months of community service in a morgue, then spend the rest of their worthless lives in prison. I love kids but I have no sympathy for these little mother f'ers. And if anyone writes to me and says, "Oh, but they're just kids ... they need special help ... we need to look deeper into the problem." Save your finger strength because I'll tell you right now, I don't give a shit.
5) I don't watch the shows, but I think it's funny that each new season of the Bachelor and the Bachelorette features the runner up from the previous season. Is being the runner up really a bad thing? Think about it. If you're a guy who got turned down in season 4, don't sweat it. You get your choice of 25 super hot chicks in season 5!
6) Can someone answer this for me? How the hell did the Kardashian girls become famous? I'm not bashing them, I just don't know. Who the F are they?
7) Captain Lou Albano died. I remember listening to him on the very first WWF Wrestling Album. Jesse Ventura says, "What's Captain Lou Albano gonna do, strum the rubber bands on his face?" That was some funny shit! Peace CLA
8) Miley Cyrus has stopped tweeting! I'm a big fan of hers, but seriously ... who gives a crap? Are media outlets that hard up for material? Shit, they should report that the Visionchild has a future bestseller!
till next time
