- Jaycee & Jabronis

I took my time writing about this because I figured I would give the story some time to unravel. To be honest with you, there hasn't too much in the entertainment news industry that has fascinated me lately. However, before I get into the main topic of this session, I want to share something with you ... all three readers :)

I purchased the People magazine where it featured Jaycee Dugard. Now, there have been tons of stories in my memory of little kids being kidnapped and so forth, but there is something about this story and Jaycee that really gets to me. It would be simple to say that this particular case so far has had a happy ending, unlike most of the other cases we have heard about. But to be honest with you, as much as it's great that she's ok, that's not it. I look at her picture on the magazine and my heart just breaks into pieces. I should be totally psyched that this woman is okay, and I am, but I can't help but feel such overwhelming sympathy for her. It may sound strange, but it almost feels like she was/is my friend. I can't explain it better than that. I really wish there was something I could do for her and her kids. Unfortunately, it's impossible. I'll tell you this ... if I were rich, they would be too. I've even thought about writing her a letter just telling her that I am glad she is back and she has been such an inspiration to so many people, including jabronis like myself. I can't imagine the amount of stress that woman is going through right now and I will absolutely not be a part of that, so I have to just stick to my thoughts and hope that she lives a long and happy life with her kids.

Now, back to character ...

I have vented numerous times about people doing stupid shit in order to get famous. What makes things worse is that we continue to give them what they want. I'm now talking about that family of jackasses, the Heene's. For those that don't know of them, they are the toolboxes that pulled off the recent balloon hoax (allegedly).

Are you people serious? Did you really make up a story about your 6 years old kid being stuck in a balloon that took off? I really hope not. When someone rapes, tortures, or murders, I have a tendency to get angry and wish slow death upon you, but in this circumstance, I don't. I simply wish that someone would just slap the stupid right off your f-ing face.

The sad thing about it is that it was allegedly done for publicity. Apparantly, these morons were turned down a reality show deal after appearing on Wife Swap. Well, out of desperation they pull this stunt. Well, congratulations assclowns, you're more than likely going to get your wish. You will have a show within a year, even if it's from jail. After you get out, you'll hit the tabloids, then you'll appear on Oprah to set the story straight. Next thing you know, you're world famous millionaires. Give me a break. At least Jaycee Dugard wouldn't show pictures of her kids. At least there's someone out there with some class, and she deserves more attention than anyone.

Some stories, whether they are desperate cries for attention or not, may deserve some media attention. These people do not at all qualify. If they really did create this assinine story, just put them in jail for a few years and forget about them. That would make the most sense. Will we do that? No. Do I understand it? No. Does it make any f-ing sense? No. This is just a prime example of why I get so irritated at the world I can't seem to get myself out of.

Random Thoughts:

1) I'm a little diappointed in radio personality Cooper Lawrence. She said that Evan Rachel Wood is a "terrible actress"! What the hell is she smokin?

2) Saw 6 coming out Friday. As much as everyone will disagree with me here, they do a very good job continuing a story that ended after part 2.

3) This is the first year I wasn't at the video game store purchasing Smackdown vs Raw on its release date. I'm so disappointed in myself.

4) Getting psyched for Celebrity Apprentice 3. My vote is hands down for Bret Michaels with Maria Kanellis a close 2nd.

5) Man in TN arrested for multiple acts of beastiality! What the f is his problem?

Till next time

  1. You have three readers who have followed you. I find that there are often more than that. Some people read your stuff even if they don't comment or follow you, so we're a small percentage of what is really there. :-)

Since my head is buried in politics, I missed the whole thing with Jaycee Dugard. What I don't get is why I caught the whole boy in the balloon hoax thing but missed the other story which should have gotten more attention. Unless the woman didn't want her story posted everywhere. I wouldn't either. But then the boy's father wanted the publicity, and even bad publicity will grant him the right to write and publish and sell many copies of his book because he'll probably do that.

Interesting comparison between the people who crave publicity at all costs and those who don't seek it and just want to have as close to a normal life as possible.

  2. The three people comment wasn't a complaint, just in case it sounded that way. I'm psyched that they all chose to follow me.

I really enjoy doing this post.
